About
Who is Dr. Benjamin Monti?
I have been studying and practicing Acupuncture since the Fall of '19. My wonderful wife, two daughters and I moved to the Berlin area in June of '22. Since then, one of my goals has been to provide Acupuncture services for my community. A focus embedded within the practice of Acupuncture is to improve the lives of my patients by implementing all natural modalities. I invite you to experience how Acupuncture can give you the Edge in maximizing your health.
My Journey:
I earned a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science from Ashland University in 2010. While there, I captained my swim team and earned All-American honors. After graduation, I became an ACSM certified Personal Trainer focusing on the strength, agility, flexibility, proprioception, injury prevention and recovery for athletes. During this time, I also became an ocean rescue swimmer at Middlesex Beach where I met my wife. After two summers lifeguarding, I volunteered for military service and enlisted with the United States Navy. While serving, I earned my Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist qualification (ESWS), was a command fitness leader (CFL), worked as a Quartermaster, and Damage Control Petty Officer (DCPO). After earning an honorable discharge from the United States Navy, I pursued and earned a Masters Degree in Education, K-12 Physical Education, from the University of Maryland. While I was teaching, my wife who was pregnant with our first daughter, received treatment by a local Acupuncturist. She had such a profound and lasting result I HAD to try it for myself. I scheduled an appointment, received treatment and was hooked. I started school a few months later and have not looked back!
My Treatment Philosophy:
The greatest element of Acupuncture is its comprehensiveness. Acupuncture can address issues ranging form the physical to the psychological. It is most important to understand that our bodies are the best healers we have. My first job as your acupuncturist to identify the potential internal/external origins of pathology. Secondly, it is my job to assist your body in restoring and then maintaining balance/health. This can be accomplished through the use of needles, temperature therapy (moxabustion), herbal formulas, qi gong, massage, and lifestyle recommendations. Each treatment delivered is individually adapted to best address your unique situation.

Hobbies and Interests:
When I am not working as a an Acupuncturist, Ocean Rescue Swimmer or being the best husband/father I can, I enjoy exercising and playing the occasional video game. My main interests are still learning about the wide range of acupuncture treatments and how I can incorporate them into my practice.
